National Book Award-winning author Phillip Hoose continues to support the immigrant welcoming work of I’m Your Neighbor Books.
The nonprofit creates and shares Immigrant and New Generation children’s book collections to build student’s welcoming skills and to facilitate an environment where immigrant and new generation students truly belong.
Phillip Hoose’s support allows for I’m Your Neighbor Books’ Welcoming Library to visit any classroom in the US for free! His four Welcoming Library supported collections traveled all across the country in 2023 allowing teachers to read aloud from acclaimed picture books and hold SEL-aligned conversations using I’m Your Neighbor Books’ signature discussion materials.
