Just got word that my good friend Charles Duncan and his colleague Diego Luna will search for B95—the Moonbird– in Río Grande, Tierra del Fuego, on October 13 and 14. There will be others searching as well. Trying to pick one bird out of a flock is always a challenge, but the odds are somewhat better than finding a needle in a haystack. That’s because we have his banding history and we know his habitat requirements. After all, Rio Grande is where B95 was first captured and where he has been seen multiple times including last November 25.
